WHAT WE OFFER

Design Lighting Consultants, Inc. is a full-service architectural lighting company. With over 30 years’ experience in residential, commercial, landscape, and institutional lighting, we have seen and done it all.

Michael Asmar has acted as chief lighting designer and producer for the famous Orange Bowl Halftime Shows for five years in the late 1970’s and early 80’s. He worked with the early development of Carnival Cruise lines to create the original “Fun Ships” floating Night Clubs and Discotheques.

Mr. Asmar has worked with many Hospitality companies to further their brands and create the ambiance that separates excellence from mediocrity.

Illumination is the instrument with the ability to calm the soul and stop time or to excite the senses and raise the energy.

Where is your pulse, now? Where would you like it to be?

RESIDENTIAL

Home is a harbor, a safe place that brings us to our family, warm and cozy surrounded by the ones that we love and love to be with. Let us warm your home with our special skill, our consultants will work with you and your design team to bring imagination to reality.

COMMERCIAL

Most commercial spaces are designed and created to perform specific tasks and have a function driven design. As the space and architecture evolve through the design process often times lighting and illumination is left to the “Engineers” who are charged with all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing designs. Your building is getting a generic lighting solution that is adequate at best. Remember good architecture alone will not carry poor illumination design. Sales and production will suffer as a result.

LANDSCAPE

Dark and scary are not part of the equation. Strategically placed luminaires of moderate to low power can change dark and scary into night time garden spaces. We coined a phrase 25 years ago “painting the night with light”, let us transform your green areas.

MUNICIPAL

Miami International Airport, the North Miami Courthouse, the Miami Police Station, Miami Dade Transit Authority and GSA have all called on DLC. We are attuned to the needs of our community and do our best to serve it well.

HOSPITALITY

Hotel operations and functionality are hugely dependent on lighting and lighting controls. First impressions lay the ground work for many hotel guests. Hi hopes and expectations lie right before our eyes. Décor and illumination set the atmosphere, the environment and the ambiance. What should your guests expect? And should they get what they expect, or more? We can turn expectations into “WOW” moments.

FOOD SERVICES

We create dining experiences, as opposed to eating. When was the last time you sat down to eat in a nice restaurant and actually noticed how nice your surroundings really were? Were you able to read the menu, comfortably? Could you see what you were eating? Did you feel totally comfortable? You serve great food and we make you look and feel great.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Nearly everything you do everything you see, at home, at work, at school and at play will involve some form of artificial illumination. We cannot live without it, so don’t settle for mediocrity. Make it count every minute of every day. Great illumination sells more groceries for the grocer, more cars for the dealer, it brings people in and shows them the way, and it pays you back every day. The use of energy efficient luminaries saves on power, produces less heat and saves the A/C, needs less maintenance and saves on repairs, it adds value to your property and shows others that you care about the environment.
