Design Lighting Consultants, Inc. was founded in 1984 by Michael G. Asmar, President/CEO, who today, still manages the day to day operations of the company. Design Lighting Consultants is primarily a design group consisting of dedicated lighting professionals. Mr. Asmar is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.  He has also served on the Faculty of “The International Fine Arts College” in Miami, and has been a guest speaker at various events both locally and abroad.

Our projects and our clientele have varied widely over the years and exemplify our ability to adapt and create the right designs for the right project. As shown in the mid 1980’s when we were the Lighting Designers of record for Carinosa Gardens in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and for the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida. One was a 25 acre Botanical Garden on a mountain side, and the other a luxury hotel in the theme park capitol of the world.

Our projects and customers have included everything from private Yachts to Carnival Cruise Lines, small private homes to mega mansions, from the average guy to movie stars, from intimate dinning to dinner theater, Hotels, Casinos, Night Clubs and the Miami International Airport.
